Die CompriseTec SU besteht aus einer modularen Faserverbund Konstruktion. Die Verwendung neuartiger brandgeschützter cSMC Compounds ermöglicht die Erfüllung der Anforderungen an die Luftfahrt-Kabine gemäß FAR 25.853. Die Wände werden durch eine faserverstärkte thermoplastische Rahmenstruktur verbunden. Diese ermöglicht die Funktionsintegration des Schlosssystems und Griffe sowie eine effiziente und klebstofffreie Montage. Durch die Verwendung von recycelten Kohlenstofffasern kann das Gesamtgewicht im Vergleich zur Aluminiumkonstruktion um 18 % reduziert werden.
Aufgrund der hohen Funktionsintegration ist die Produktion einfach automatisierbar. Die hohen Materialkosten des cSMC werden durch den effizienten Produktionsprozess kompensiert. Die Investitionen in die Betriebsmittel sind günstiger. Schließlich kann die Standard Unit wirtschaftlich mit der Aluminiumbox konkurrieren – noch dazu mit attraktiveren mechanischen Eigenschaften.
Im Rahmen des JEC WORLD Innovation Awards 2020 wurde die CompriseTec SU mit den Partnern CTC GmbH, Helmut Schmidt Universität, Polynt Composites Germany GmbH, Spiriant GmbH und Technische Universtät Hamburg in der Kategorie Recyling zu den Finalisten nominiert. The CompriseTec Standard Unit consists of a modular composite design. The use of novel fire retardant cSMC compounds for the panels enables the fulfillment of the aircraft cabin requirements for flammability according to FAR 25.853. The panels are connected by a fibre reinforced thermoplastic frame structure. This enables functional integration for locks and handles as well as efficient and adhesive-free assembly. By using recycled carbon fibres, the total weight can be reduced by 18 % compared to the aluminium state of the art.
Due to the high level of functional integration, production can be easily automated. The elevated material costs of the cSMC are consequently compensated by the efficient production process. The need for investment in moulds and jigs are reduced. Finally, the Standard Unit can compete economically with the aluminium box – additionally with more attractive mechanical resistance.
